1 March 2010 Attention: No onward connections to Chile accepted - earthquake closes Santiago Airport South African Airways (SAA) would like to advise its passengers travelling on the airline's flights between Johannesburg and Buenos Aires, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil, that no onward connections to Chile will be accepted. This comes after an earthquake hit the South American country of Chile and caused damage to its capital city, Santiago. There are at present no connecting flights to or from Chile as Santiago International has been closed to traffic. SAA will therefore not accept onward connections to this region. SAA's flights between Johannesburg and Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo have not been affected and operations on these routes continue as normal |
